Listen up children I'll tell you a story about a boy who was timid and shy
He had two younger brothers a dad and a mother and when he left them they all died inside.
Now this boy was no stranger to love and to danger but those things he sure like to hide.
And he didn't like losing he was smart with his choosing how to win the battles he'd fight

Now the way that I live is for sinners
And the way he lived was the right
And I've never felt like a winner
Because I lost everything that night

He loved baseball and Hendrix
The Mets, Jets and Rangers
And we wore those colors with pride
He didn't have any romances
Didn't take any chances until the day that he died
